History and Business (extracted from Prospectus)
Berjaya Food Berhad (BFood) was incorporated in Malaysia under the Act as a private limited company on 21 October 2009 under its current name. It was converted into a public limited company on 3 December 2009. The business of BFood is that of an investment holding company. Through its wholly-owned subsidiary, BRoasters. BRoasters is in the food retail business and is the operator of the Kenny Rogers Roasters chain of restaurants in Malaysia. Kenny Rogers Roasters’s restaurants sell wholesome roasted chicken in a family-oriented restaurant setting and has 51 outlets as at 19 January 2011.
The Group ensures that all its food products are “Halal” and compliance with “Halal” certification.
