Inflation Increase in 2011

FacebookShare

Inflation is expected to increase in 2011 to average at 2.5% to 3.5% compare to 1.7% in 2010, as reported by Bank Negara Malaysia in its annual report released today.

It has been reported that the increase of inflation will be driven by the significant increases in global commodity and energy prices. Other than that, domestic demand could also become one of the factors to increase the prices.

This could be a signal to us about the upcoming fuel hikes and also tariff hikes due to high coal prices. Also do not forget about the upcoming increment of BLR.
